Classes

Ballet, tap, folklorico and the waltz

Each class is grouped by age, taught in Spanish and English, and held in the main room or the small room.

  • Ages 5 to 17

    Ballet

    Barre work, center floor and short steps across the room, in classes grouped by age. A leotard and soft slippers are all a first class asks for.

    Tap

    Rhythm, shuffles and short routines, learned one sound at a time. Wear hard-soled shoes you can stamp in.

    Folklorico

    Regional dances from Jalisco, Veracruz and Chihuahua: zapateado, skirt work and the story behind each song, in Spanish and English.

    Quinceañera waltz

    A group class for the court: the waltz in pairs and the entrance together, with a teacher counting aloud.
