Policies

We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.

Families are welcome to watch from the bench at the edge of the floor, and many do. During the first weeks of a new class we ask watchers to stay seated and quiet so the dancers can hear the count. Younger brothers and sisters are welcome with an adult.

Ballet: a leotard or plain t-shirt, tights or leggings and soft slippers. Tap: hard-soled shoes and clothes that move. Folklorico: a long, full practice skirt for girls, and long pants and a plain shirt for boys, with shoes that stay on. Everyone: hair away from the face and a water bottle with a name on it.

Please keep a dancer home with a fever, a cough that keeps them from keeping up, or a stomach bug, and let the front desk know so we can find a makeup class. We open the windows between classes and keep hand sanitizer at the door.

Dancers leave with the adults on their pickup list. If someone new is coming, tell the front desk before class and ask them to bring an ID. Dancers 13 and older may walk home only if a parent has said so in writing.

Please arrive five minutes early so a dancer can change shoes and find a place. If a dancer is late, they join at the next change of steps. Tell the front desk when a dancer will miss a class.

When the schools close for snow or smoke, we text families by early afternoon. A class we cancel is made up in another class of the same age. We close for Thanksgiving week and winter break.
